Have you ever had a day where you wish it had a reset button?

That would be me today.

My day started off with the smoke detectors in the apartment buzzing. Not beeping, but straight up buzzing as if there were a fire somewhere in the place. Nope, nothing. They buzzed for about thirty seconds before they stopped. Ten minutes later they went off again. We thought it was the toaster oven, but nope. No smoke or burnt waffles here. Then when they went off again for a third time, we thought it was the steam of the shower. Nope, not that either.

I spent my morning groaning in annoyance and it was the worst start to the day.

I left for work early because I couldn’t take it anymore and Kali was handling it with the landlord. I grabbed a breakfast sandwich and a coffee from the local coffee shop on my way in. I dropped the sandwich, sending it flying everywhere. I was embarrassed when they made me another one. Only to walk out without my coffee. So I walked back in to grab the second one and what did I do? Dropped the sandwich… again.

It’s like it wasn’t meant for me to have the pork roll, egg and cheese goodness.

If you try to tell me it’s Taylor Ham, I will fight you because I’m not in the mood today.

Taylor is the brand name for pork roll.

Pork roll is the most epic type of breakfast meat there is. The closest thing I can compare it to for you is Canadian Bacon, but better.

It’s a New Jersey thing I picked up when Peyton lived there.

Anyway, I then proceeded to spill the entire coffee on the sidewalk as I left the deli.

Basically… by eight in the morning, my day was shot to shit.

A ticking time bomb if you will.

After my morning, I expected the day to explode in my face. However, it went relatively smooth. Everything was on time that needed to be. Marc was in the Staten Island office all day. The computers worked great and nothing backfired on me.

Hell yeah.

I had to know that it would be short lived, though… because after I got ready to head to Marc's penthouse for dinner with Bill and Cathy, my car decided it was an excellent time to not start. The fucking battery was dead. When I called Marc to tell him I’d be late, he said “Don’t worry about it. I’m sending Fred right now.”

As if Freddy could teleport to me, he was at my house in ten minutes. Does he have a special pass that he can fly through traffic lights and clear the streets? Because there’s no way that he could make it across town that fast for me.

Clearly, I’m just in a fired up mood today.

That’s why I’m currently standing in the lobby of Sunset Square, taking a few moments to steady my breathing. A little bit of woosah if you will.

Of course, Marc lives in the same luxury condo building that Thomas used to live in.
